Halibut Fishing Charters in Homer, Alaska

Homer is known as the "Halibut Capital of the World" so there are lots of charters to choose from. Homer is also a small town where we have been in business for over 20 years. So, we are very familiar with the best charters that have quality boats, equipment and experienced captains. If you would like to take the guesswork out of choosing a charter, we would be happy to make a reservation for you to fish with a charter that we would take ourselves!  And if you are interested in salmon fishing, we also work with saltwater and fresh water guides that would love to take you salmon fishing!

It is a coast guard inspected vessel powered by twin Cummins diesels which make it one of the fastest vessels in Homer for its class. She is a 12 passenger vessel, $220 a person , and operating halibut charters only June 28-August 21, 2012, located at Slip EEII. It is licensed to carry 21 passengers but to insure high quality, personalized service it usually takes only 12 clients on daily halibut fishing trips.

The Trisha is a big, beautiful 32' cabin cruiser. She is a 6 passenger vessel, operating May 25 - August 15 2012, There is plenty of deck space and she is loaded with top-end electronics and fishing equipment.  Although it only takes up to six passengers at a time, the Trisha will seat 9 comfortably in the cabin.  She has a large galley table, a v-berth up forward for napping, a good cabin heater, a spacious head (restroom for you landlubbers), and a sink with running water.  The Trisha is powered with twin Yamaha 225 4-stroke engines.  At 11.5 feet wide, she is very stable, located at Slip M-29.

Packaging Your Catch

Once we fillet and bag your catch for you, there is the task of processing and preserving the meat for the trip home. There are a few places that process fish. Most of them do a very fine job. The two most convenient ones are Homer Fish Processing and Coal Point Trading. Both of them will pick your fish up at the boat and do anything to lessen your burden of handling, processing, and/or shipping your fish. Use the information below to compare prices and services.
